Kite-boarding/kite-surfing has been around for awhile but over the last few years is fast becoming an up and coming sport and has been petitioning to be approved as a board event in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.

There are many destinations around the world that are ripe for this sport however, we are partial to the warm waters and ever blowing Trade-winds of the Caribbean. Instead of heading to one destination or beach resort why not charter your own private yacht that has an instructor on board. This is a great way to see some of the islands and different areas and conditions all the while being pampered and fed on board a yacht and experienceing the Caribbean lifestyle. There are boats available in the islands that have crews keen to teach and show off their skills with the kite.

Baraka, a 47ft Nautitech catamaran, is available for charter out of the Grenadines offering the experience of a kite-boarding yacht charter. Being on a boat gives you a chance to wake up in beautiful and pristine waters on a daily basis. Each day can be a different location with waves to flat water. The yacht is equipped with solar panels, wind power and a water maker allowing you to remain in remote locations. Baraka has a full accompaniment of water sports toys besides the kites – SUPs, funboard, clear bottom kayak, snorkel gear, floating lounge chairs and noodles.

Baraka comfortably sleeps 6 guests in 3 double cabins each with private head/shower. She is based in Union Island but will also pick up in Grenada. Your captain, Yann, is a Kite Surf instructor, an avid fisherman as well as being a certified diver. Portuguese being his first language, he is also fluent in English, French, and Spanish.
